Anna Barr holds an MFA in Fiction from the University of Houston’s Creative Writing Program where she was an Inprint Mary Gibbs and Jesse H. Jones Fellow and the winner of the 2025 Inprint Marion Barthelme Prize in Creative Writing. She has experience teaching English and creative writing at the university level, in the Houston community, and abroad. She writes short fiction, poetry, and is finishing up her first novel. She also translates literary works from Spanish into English.
