Cammie Tipton-Amini is Assistant Curator of Public Art, University of Houston System. She gained her B.A. in Art History and English Literature from Wesleyan Women’s College and her M.A. in Art History from the University of Houston. She has taught the History of Photography at the University of Houston and has presented her research at numerous international photography conferences. Cammie’s areas of research include contemporary British photography, postcolonial theory and literature, critical theory, and all things Andy Warhol. She has traveled to over sixty-five countries, hundreds of cities, and lived as an expat in the Middle East for six years. She enjoys watching old British television series and eating TexMex.
