Terrence Doody

Terrence Doody, who was the Allison Sarofim Distinguished Teaching Professor, retired from Rice in 2017 where he had taught in the English Department since 1970. He specialized in contemporary literature, Modernism, and the novel, had published two books on the novel, and was awarded a number of teaching prizes. For several years, he also served on the editorial board of Cite: The Architecture and Design Review of Houston, where he wrote book reviews and essays on urban culture. And he’s been lucky enough to teach at WIH for over forty years.
