A Hard Fix: Voting Rights and the Electoral Process in Texas

Brandon Rottinghaus

How we vote affects who votes and who gets to vote. Texas has seen some significant changes to voting administration in the last decade ushering in new civil rights voting issues. In this talk, we explore new data on the impact of the removal of straight ticket voting, the effect of a migration to county-wide vote centers, the impact of high school registration efforts, and other changes that will shape the future of Texas politics.

This class will be held onsite at WIH and simulcast via Zoom.
