
American Literature: A Fresh Look at the Classics (Monthly Meetings)
In this course we will examine five books which form the canon of American literature. Almost all American Literature can be traced to at least one of these five books. A modern reading of them will shed light upon the issues and messages of today; and, with our new eyes will enhance our reading of literature currently published—works of powerful fiction that are sure to become future classics.
