In music, a melodic theme which is then repeated with changes in melody, harmony, and rhythm is referred to as a “Theme and Variations.” Did you know that visual art also has many variations on the same theme or subject? Biblical stories, mythology, current events – all are commonly used subject matter and have been interpreted and reinterpreted numerous times in many styles and mediums.
