Beginning/Intermediate Spanish

Alisha Loftin, Ph.D.

Beginning Spanish focuses on vocabulary and grammar structures suited to everyday/household use and for travel. Topics include pronunciation, greetings, introductions and leave-taking, household items, travel and accommodations, date, day and time, food and restaurant etiquette, clothes and shopping. Grammar structures include asking questions, negation, gender and number rules, and present-tense verb conjugations.

We recommend the book “Spanish in 10 Minutes a Day” by Kristine K. Kershul (available on Amazon and other online booksellers) to supplement the beginning and intermediate level.

Placement assistance is available by contacting our office. *This is a limited enrollment class.
