What do Warren G. Harding, Earnest Hemingway, Elizabeth Taylor, Winston Churchill, Ludwig Von Beethoven, and you have in common? A penchant for writing love letters. Well, YOU will be added to the list after this quick-paced short course on Love Letters. Ever since AR Gurney’s play “Love Letters” was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize in 1988, the love affair with the love letter has grown. However, with the need to express love in a letter comes the need to find the words. So, to help make every day Valentine’s Day, why not discover those words by reviewing letters written by famous people in history (not current celebrities), explore reasons for composing letters from the heart, and effort and develop a few skills to help convey those sentiments we claim cannot be expressed in words.
