Susan X Day, Ph.D.

Susan X Day, Ph.D., taught college English for 20 years, returned to school to earn her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology at the University of Illinois, and then taught Psychology for 23 years (at Iowa State University and then University of Houston). She is a licensed psychologist, now specializing in counseling dissertation writers in the social sciences. Susan is the author and co-author of three graduate level Psychology textbooks and several undergraduate textbooks in rhetoric, grammar, and literature. Her course at WIH draws from her popular textbook Theory and Design in Counseling and Psychotherapy (Houghton-Mifflin) with added updates in contemporary practice. Despite being an academic all her life, she is known for her lively, humorous, and interactive presentation style.
