Who Am I, Really? Developing a Stable Sense of Self

Susan X Day, Ph.D.

What does it mean to have a stable sense of self—especially in a world that constantly pulls us in competing directions? This participatory class invites thoughtful reflection and conversation about identity, inner strength, and what helps us feel coherent and grounded over time.

Drawing on psychology, lived experience, and years of teaching and clinical work, we will explore how a sense of self develops, how it can become unsettled, and what supports greater balance and integration. Rather than a lecture-heavy format, this class emphasizes discussion, shared insight, and personal meaning-making. Participants are encouraged (but never required) to reflect on their own experiences as we consider questions of identity, continuity, and change across the lifespan.

This course is designed for anyone curious about how we hold ourselves together—emotionally, psychologically, and relationally—and how we can cultivate a stronger, more cohesive sense of self as we move through life.

This is a limited enrollment class.
