Mary Baird

Mary Baird grew up in Houston and graduated from Baylor University with a degree in English. She then went on to complete a Master’s degree in Library Science and worked for the Harris County Library System as a children’s librarian before retiring to raise her three kids. She now has three grown kids and two grandchildren and has time for hobbies such as tennis, reading, cross stitch, and of course. . . MAH JONGG! Mary learned to play 5 years ago and loves the combination of strategy, luck, and social interaction that Mah Jongg provides. She is excited to be teaching at WIH and bringing more enthusiasts into the Mah Jongg world.
