Join Ambassador Chase Untermeyer for a day trip to Austin, Texas. Departure time is 8:00am, with a late evening return. Students will travel by private bus to and from Austin, stopping along the way to visit Hruska's Store and Bakery in Ellinger, and Weikel’s Bakery in Brenham on the return home. A box lunch will be provided for a picnic near the capitol building.

A private guided tour of the State Capitol has been arranged as well as a behind-the-scenes tour of the State Archives with a staff member. Then you are off to the Texas State Cemetery where Ambassador Untermeyer has curated a guide to the famous Texans interred there along with their rich histories.
