The Art of Storytelling: Discover the Story in You

Hank Roubicek, Ph.D.

In this class you will learn to hold the attention of a crowd, a classroom, or just a group of friends by telling them a great story. Because you have one. In fact, you have many and they need to be heard. Formulating a spoken legacy for your children, grandchildren, and friends is what makes you memorable, even immortal. This class will teach you how to orally tell the stories of your life by learning how to find them, document them, put them into story form, and deliver them with your signature style. Topics include coherence, resonance, focus, molding an episode, developing a theme, creating imagery, connecting with listeners, and more. Telling a story is about taking others on a journey, and then returning them safely to the present. In this class you will learn to hold the attention of a crowd, a classroom, or just a group of friends by telling them a great story. You are special. And your stories will prove it.
